Colloquies Is Now Runde
Colloquies has a new name. It’s called Runde now.
Nothing else changed. It’s the same app, with the same circles, the same messages and the same question every Monday. Your account, your history and any Circle Plus you’ve bought are exactly where you left them. The update brings a new name and a new icon and that’s all. There’s nothing you need to do.
Why a new name
We wanted a name you could say out loud to a friend without spelling it.
Runde is a German word. It’s what you call a group of people doing something together: the friends around a fire, the ones at the table after dinner, the regulars who always end up in the same corner. The app is built in Germany and the word felt right the first time we heard it. It’s short and simple and it means a few things at once. We’ll leave the rest to you.
What stays the same
- Your circles, messages and photos. All of it stays on your device and syncs like before.
- Your privacy settings. Private circles are still end-to-end encrypted. Standard circles work exactly as they did.
- Your links. Old invite links and colloquies.app keep working. Our new home is joinrunde.com.
Thanks for being part of this from the start. Same room, new name on the door.
